I live by my calendar. The year is so busy with school – both with TBWP at church, but also at home. With three kids in three different schools, dance, part time jobs, doctor’s appointments, homework, and projects, there’s never a spare moment. Now that summer has arrived, it’s time to take a pause and take a big breath to relax. Well, maybe for some, but not for me. The summer brings its own challenges and excitement. Summer time at Trinity brings for me Preschool Summer Camp, Children’s Day Camp, and VBS. All three are HUGE undertakings – and don’t allow a moment of space for chilling and relaxing. I am now fully in SUMMER MODE. This means long days, lots of work, and mostly a large amount of CHILDREN. Our Preschool camp has higher enrollment than we’ve ever had- with 15 preschoolers we’re super busy with little people. Our Children’s Day Camp for 5K-6th grade is on a waiting list for almost every week. That means we are serving over 90 children over the 11 weeks we will have camp. Our VBS is building, and we are in full preparation mode for this exciting event. We are planning to share our campus with 350 children during VBS! That is a lot of snacks, crafts, games, and most importantly- little children that we can witness to! The main point of our summer activities is to share about how important God is to our lives. We have potentially 1,155 hours of day camp to make an impact for the Kingdom. We are cherishing each day, each hour that we can help put God’s imprint on their hearts. Not everyone has the ability, desire, or patience to work hands on with the children God has blessed us with. We covet your prayers as we progress through the summer to win souls for Christ!
