Sunday Every Day

Each Sunday, we come to church and worship together. Even though we only spend a few hours together, we leave feeling renewed, refreshed, uplifted. In some personal way, God has touched our hearts and filled us with joy. We listened to God’s word, worshiped through song and spent time in prayer – and we feel ready for the week to begin. But, then Monday actually comes – UGH. Then Tuesday, Wednesday – and before you know it, things are becoming more dreadful and it becomes hard to become motivated… Imagine if we could have Sunday Every day. Honestly, I think we can. How can we make our everyday life a worship service? How can we make worship – a lifestyle? With the world of technology at our fingertips, it should be simple. There are Podcasts, on-line sermons, Christian radio stations, CD’s of our favorite artist, I-Tunes and of course, there is Amazon and a Christian book store only 20 minutes away from where most of us live. To make things even more simple, our church just invited everyone to join RightNowMedia, where we can create our own account and have thousands of videos, bible studies and inspirational segments at our fingertips – on our phones and computers. We actually have no excuse not to be able to worship through song in our cars or while we work out our even cook dinner.  Christian music these days, covers all types of genres – yes, even hard rock, country and rap. All of us have plenty of quiet time to spend in prayer, whether we have a desk job or a job that has us working outside. Our church even provides a daily devotion for us to be able to read God’s word. All the things I just mentioned are elements of a church service – of worship.

Worship is your reaction to how great God is. Isn’t he important and isn’t He great every day, not just on Sunday. Challenge yourself to try to make it a priority in your life to make every day feel like Sunday.
