I’ve had the honor of pastoring TBC Cayce for 5 years now, and it’s been such a blessing. There is no way to express exactly how grateful I am that God put me at this church with this extraordinary group of people.

I have no doubt God has something very special ahead for us.

When I arrived at TBC Cayce, I had a lot of questions about who we were. As I reflect back on the past 5 years, God has taught me a lot about the church’s identity. To accompany my 5-year-anniversary, here are 5 qualities I have seen that define TBC Cayce:

1. Love.

We are a group of people who genuinely love and care about one another. That may sound a little cliche, but it’s completely true.

2. Ministry/Service.

We are a group of people who love to serve and meet the needs of one another and our local community. TBC Cayce is just as much about reaching outwards as it is about reaching inwards.

3. Relationships.

Our small groups are much more than just Sunday School Classes where the Bible is taught. They are groups of people who are like family. They are completely committed to each other and willing to do anything for someone else in the group.

4. Worship.

We are a group of people who desire to exalt God and to do it in a way we believe is appropriate.

5. Godliness.

We are a Spirit-filled body of people who truly know and try their very best to obey God and be all that they can be for God.

There are many other qualities that I could mention, but, for the title to work, I have to stick with 5. I thank God that He has made you who you are, and I thank God that I get to be a small part of what God has done and is doing in and through TBC Cayce.
