What is TBWP?

Trinity Baptist Weekday Preschool is a part-time weekday preschool program that meets three hours a day. We offer four days for 1, 2, and 3-year-olds, and five days for 4-year-olds. We stress the importance of God’s command to love our neighbors as ourselves while preparing the preschoolers for 5-year-old kindergarten.

Purpose

Our program was created to provide a Christian learning environment where preschoolers could interact with peers, experience God’s love, and build a foundation for life-long learning about God’s love. We strive to help children develop spiritually, socially, physically, emotionally, and mentally by offering a safe, affordable program with loving, Christian teachers.

Overview of Program

Our first priority is to demonstrate God’s love. We maintain a smaller student to teacher ratio than recommended by the State of South Carolina in order to have optimum supervision and interaction with the children. All classes have two adult teachers, a lead teacher and an assistant, who are required to pass a background check for employment. Teachers create lesson plans using the Funshine Express learning system and a wide variety of early childhood curriculum resources. Healthy snacks and water are provided for each class. During class, teachers support and reinforce your efforts by encouraging respect, cooperation, kindness, and the use of manners. The combined efforts of your family and the staff of TBWP will help develop a child who:

1. Knows about Jesus and His love for everyone
2. Possesses all the skills necessary for success in Kindergarten
3. Understand how to treat others by being exposed to Jesus’ example
4. Uses manners during snack time and play
5. Uses proper classroom behavior (lining up, sitting quietly, etc.)
6. Appropriately engages in activities (verbally, physically, etc.) and plays with other children

2025 "Best Preschool" Winner

Trinity Baptist Weekday Preschool was voted “Best Preschool” for 2025 in the Lexington Chronicle contest.

Trinity Weekday Preschool has been a blessing to our entire family. It's been an affordable experience for our children to grow physically, mentally, and socially in a Christ-centered environment. Our children were loved and cared for so well. The teaching team at Trinity Weekday Preschool does an excellent job meeting each child where they are and preparing each child for the transition to elementary school. Our children are thriving in elementary school and we think a lot of the reason why is because of their experience at Trinity Weekday Preschool. We wouldn't change a thing and can't speak highly enough of our experience.

Trinity Baptist Weekday Preschool has been a blessing that we didn’t know our family needed. Our two boys have attended since they were in the 1’s class. The teachers and staff have truly become family. They have cared for our children like they are their own, and they have always been there to help me navigate the waters of toddler life. I truly wish my boys could stay at TBWP through high school graduation. We absolutely love it.

Our family went through one of the most traumatic experiences of our lives this year and TBWP came alongside us and walked through it with us. We will never forget the kindness the teachers and staff showed us during that difficult time!

There may be another preschool where the teachers truly love the children and each other as much as at Trinity, but I don’t know of it. While educating the children is a priority, even more so is to let them know how much they are loved by their teachers and God. It is a safe place to grow into the people God has made them to be.
